Gunjur United Win Back-to-Back to Continue Fine Form

Gunjur United made their home advantage count once again as they secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Waa Banjul at the Nyamina Football Grounds, marking back-to-back wins in their GFF Second Division campaign.

The Coastal Boys got off to a flying start, breaking the deadlock just eight minutes in through a brilliant strike from Abdoulie Danso.

The Dabanani outfit maintained their composure and held onto the lead heading into the break. The second half resumed with both sides pushing for goals, but it was Gunjur who would strike again.

Sheriffo Bojang sealed the win in the 90th minute with a beautiful finish, latching onto a precise assist from Omar Jabang to double the lead.

Despite a late setback with Abdoulie Jassey receiving his marching orders, Gunjur United held firm to secure all three points and continue their impressive run of form.

The win lifts the Coastal Boys from 11th to 10th with 37 points.
