Gunjur United produced a resounding performance on the road as they dismantled Baalor Sarr FC 4-1 in Faraba to record their biggest win of the GFF League Division 2 season.

The match began with intensity, and it didn’t take long for the visitors to make their mark. Omar Jabang opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Mafugi Demba was fouled inside the area, giving Gunjur United an early advantage.
Though they dominated large spells of the first half, the away side couldn’t extend their lead before the break. But the second half saw them shift into top gear.
Sheriffo Bojang dazzled with two quick-fire goals, showcasing clinical finishing and brilliant footwork, before Moses Jatta sealed the result with a thunderous long-range effort in the final minutes. Baalor Sarr FC managed a late consolation in the 82nd minute, but it did little to shift the momentum of a match Gunjur controlled from start to finish.

The emphatic victory places Gunjur United in 13th place on the table with 24 points, now just two points behind Baalor Sarr FC, who sit in 12th. It’s a vital result for Gunjur as they look to steer clear of the lower end of the table and build consistency in the latter stages of the season.
For Baalor Sarr FC, the loss is a setback and a warning sign, as their cushion above the chasing pack narrows.
