Gunjur - Bererending land dispute claims another life as Ousman Drammeh dies

Information reaching GunjurOnline has revealed that the Gunjur/Bereding land dispute has claimed another life. Ousman Drammeh alies KOTU from Berending was allegedly wounded with a cutlass in an altercation about a land dispute a couple of weeks ago.

Mr Drammeh was admitted at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul where he was being treated for his wounds, until last night (Sunday) when he tragically passed away.

The People of Berending and Gunjur have been locked in a festering land dispute which ended the life of Buba Jammeh from Gunjur when he was shot and killed by Buba Drammeh some three years ago. This time around, the casualty is from Berending.

The latest news on another death as a result of the land dispute must be a cause for concern for the Gambian authorities.
